Review by hotel critic
Staying at the Solar was a much-needed retreat amid my travels. With a prime location overlooking the beach and views towards Christ the Redeemer, the serene environment felt like a warm embrace. The outdoor pool, while small, offered a pleasant spot for gentle relaxation, especially with the sound of waves nearby. I really appreciated the spa facilities-treating myself to a massage was a lovely addition, and the sauna provided a peaceful respite after a day of exploring. Helton and Diego were particularly helpful, making my stay feel comfortable and welcoming, which is always appreciated while traveling solo. The area itself, close to Charitas beach, has several local restaurants and bars that invite exploration, though there was not much to snack on at the pool. I'd suggest this hotel to anyone seeking a quiet escape with decent amenities and a touch of local charm.
